electric motor bearings
SANBURG BEARINGS-------electric motor bearings
Electric motor bearings are usually deep groove radial, angular contact ball and cartridge bearings. These have enhanced internal tolerances, lubrication, seals and shields ensuring limited vibration and noise. They may have contact or non-contact seals or shields.
Electrical motor bearings are used with power frequency converters. This helps resist electrical erosion under normal operating conditions and high temperatures. The motor bearings are highly loaded moving components with metal-to-metal contact. They form the most critical parts pertaining to high reliability and low service costs.
Frequency converters cause electrical erosion-related bearing damage in standard all-steel bearings. Smaller motors are prone to damage as they are fitted with standard not having protection against electrical. Electrical motor bearings need to be electrically insulated or have polymeric insulation layers that provide such protection. Hybrid bearings are the most viable solution.
